Parkrose Hardware

When I lived in Portland decades ago there was a hardware store, Beaumont Hardware, a few blocks from my home that I would frequent. It was a great, friendly neighborhood hardware store, however, if they did not have what I was looking for I would drive out to Parkrose Hardware.

I spent a couple of days in Sandy Oregon in September of 2022 helping a friend get a truck ready for a trip to Alaska. After going to several home improvement big box stores and not finding what we needed I commented that I used to go to a store called Parkrose Hardware, let’s see if it is still there.

So, we looked it up on the map app and it showed up. We drove to Sandy Boulevard and sure enough it was still there. It turned out to be a great place for getting the bolts, lock nuts, steel bits and other hardware that we needed for the project.

Besides the items we bought for my friends project I decided to buy a couple of buckets for myself just for old time memories sake. I told the story of having frequented the store decades ago and being happy to see that they were still open to the cashier. She appreciated hearing the story.

I don’t think that they are necessarily the cheapest store but if you are in the Portland eastside area and are looking for a hardware store with a great selection and friendly, helpful staff I highly recommend you check out Parkrose Hardware on Sandy and 106th.
